A quirky layout but charming stay

The location near Lake Lucerne is absolutely charming, with easy access to local attractions. The restaurant offers an excellent selection of dishes and the staff are notably friendly.

The rooms are quite dated and require maintenance, and I encountered noise issues from the courtyard that made my stay less restful than I had hoped.

The mattress in the room provided decent comfort, which was a relief after a long day. The fridge was present in every room, adding convenience for keeping drinks cool.

The cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. the reception area and breakfast space felt dirty, and unexpected visitors like sparrows in the indoor breakfast area made meals uncomfortable. The Double Room had a peculiar setup with the sink next to the bed, which felt inconvenient. Issues with odors permeated the bathroom, complemented by dust issues from the carpeting and torn linens. Plus, a noticeable lack of sound insulation let in all sorts of unwelcome noises from nearby rooms, making it difficult to feel at ease.

The separate toilet, the fridge in each room, the lovely spacious restaurant was simply grewt.

during my stay in city, i appreciated that the hotel had free parking and a friendly staff. the location was central, which made it easy to walk around. breakfast had enough options to start my day well.

the location was super convenient, really close to the train and bus. the breakfast buffet had lots of options and was very nice. the room was clean and comfy, perfect for our family. staff was polite and helpful, always around if we needed anything. we loved being able to walk to the lake in just a few minutes.

the shower was kinda small and could use some improvement. also, the fridge in our room froze everything we put in it.

The limited food options in the restaurant also detracted from the dining experience, though the bar had a good drink selection.

Quaint stay with separate toilet and shower

I recently stayed in a cozy double room for a night, and I loved having the toilet and shower in separate spaces, which was super convenient. The breakfast spread was quite impressive too, with a really nice variety to choose from. Although the view from my window wasn’t great, it offered unbeatable peace and quiet, allowing me to enjoy the fresh air at night without any noise. Just a heads up, the price was a bit high for what you get considering everything else, but I guess that's to be expected in Switzerland.

We had a one-night stay, and I must say, the breakfast was fantastic with a great variety! The room had a beautiful view, although the bathroom felt a bit outdated. I'd return!
